New SHV Coaxial Connector

New SHV Coaxial Connector

Ceramaseal, the world leader in ultra-high vacuum seal technologies, announces a new addition to the current offering of SHV Coaxial Connectors. This new SHV Coaxial Connector was constructed using Ceramaseal's ceramic to metal sealing technology and is designed to mate with a standard 10KV SHV plug. The smaller diameter of the connector does not compromise the 10KV voltage rating. The new receptacles have a temperature range of –269°C to 450°C and can handle currents up to 2 amps and voltages up to 10KV. The connector is also non-magnetic and provides much more flexibility due to the decreased size. This new weldable receptacle is made of 304 stainless steel and high purity alumina ceramic. The connector can also be supplied on Conflat Flanges, Quick Flanges, or Custom Flanges.

SHV connectors feature an improved interface over MHV connectors. The SHV connector ground is maintained through the center contact mating cycle. The center contact is recessed in the plug to prevent shock hazard even when unmated.

Based in New Lebanon, N.Y., Ceramaseal is a 50-year-old division of CeramTec North America. Ceramaseal is an ISO-9001 certified company that manufactures a wide range of standard and custom ceramic to metal sealed components including connectors, isolators, feedthroughs, viewports and high voltage bushings.
