Endress+Hauser announces a new hydrostatic level pressure transmitter designed specifically for food, beverage and dairy applications. Hydrostatic level devices are the most commonly used devices for measuring liquid level in a tank. With the new Deltapilot S FMB 70, Endress+Hauser takes this well-known and reliable technology and, using an innovative measuring cell and smart electronics, maximizes it for use in food and beverage applications. The result is a smart, stable, highly accurate, highly durable and user friendly instrument. From the inside out, Deltapilot S is designed for sanitary applications. The watertight CONTITE™ measuring cell withstands harsh washdown environments and ultimately increases the lifetime of each transmitter. Excellent long-term zero-point stability reduces calibration frequency. This means reduced maintenance and process downtime costs which are normally associated with frequent calibrations. Best-in-class temperature compensation responds quickly to temperature changes during batch processing and CIP/SIP cycles. This adds up to reduced downtime between batches and improved batch-to-batch repeatability. The stainless steel housing with polycarbonate sight glass proves this instument's was designed and constructed for cleaning. Only the Deltapilot S features a "level" mode to program strapping tables for non-linear tanks and measure level in units of pressure, height, volume or mass. This reduces engineering time and hardware complexity necessary to convert pressure reading to usable process information. For use in silos, holding tanks, mixing tanks, filler bowls, balance tanks, Deltapilot S is a reliable hydrostatic pressure transmitter optimized for the needs of food and beverage customers.
