LAB-GUARD® Model D has a unique curved shape that provides a measure of side protection, yet equipment behind the shield can easily be reached. The heavy wrap-around base, firmly attached to the transparent shield, provides stability, yet the unit takes up little bench space. Four sizes are available. The two middle sizes can be supplied in either 1/4" thick acrylic or 3/ 16" thick polycarbonate. (Polycarbonate is approximately 40 times more impact resistant than acrylic.) Acrylic "Inner-Liners" are available for the three largest sizes. Inner-Liners not only provide an extra measure of protection, but also guard the basic shield against damage from solvents and chemicals. The liner can be replaced at a fraction of the cost of a LAB-GUARD® shield.
