The MatScan® System adds a pressure/force sensing floor mat capability to any medical and professional practice and/or business. MatScan empowers you to view dynamic barefoot pressures/forces with minimal effort and cost. This system is an ideal solution for plantar pressure screening, foot function assessment, documentation, and patient education. It also helps with assessment capability to write orthotic prescriptions by means of advanced timing and graphing tools.
The MatScan is a fundamental tool to build your practice. It provides the capability to identify pressure related problems effectively. In addition, the MatScan improves functional evaluations, allows you to communicate more effectively to patients, document thoroughly, and expand your patient population through proactive foot screenings. Easily transported between sites, the MatScan sets up in seconds, affording you the opportunity to expand your practice through an inexpensive, quick, easy, and accurate testing tool.
Easy to use Windows® based software allows you to view real-time dynamic weight transfer and local pressure concentrations, as well as capture multiple footstrikes in seconds. MatScan allows you to record walking, standing (balance), or single (snapshot) frames of force and pressure data. With the VCR like controls (Record, Rewind, Playback, Fast-Forward, Pause), recordings can be played back and forth for analysis.
The sensitivity of the sensor is adjustable and the sensor can be calibrated to convert output into pressure units, such as PSI or mmHG. Documentation has never been easier with the patient database. Movies (recordings) can be saved and loaded for later review, procedures, and details saved as well as color printout capabilities. Edit Movies by cutting frames and/or sensels in a single frame. Copy pressure profiles and graphs into Microsoft® programs such as Word® or Excel®, and use triggering to start and stop recordings based on load and contact area.
Optional VersaTek electronics provide the customer with the versatility to affordably add on other systems to their existing system for different applications such as in-shoe, grip, prosthetic and seating.
The sensor contains 2288 sensing elements with a spatial resolution of 1.4 sensors/cm2. The mat size is 432mm x 368mm.
