Hazardous events at meth labs are on the rise, putting law enforcement and emergency response personnel at risk. A report from the Hazardous Substances Emergency Events Surveillance (HSEES) indicates that from the period 2000 to June 2004, a total of 1,791 events have occurred in the 16 states that use HSEES.
