• The water levels can vary dramatically, from high in wet weather to low in the summer months.
• The TOC analyzer must be able to cope with the wide variety of chemicals used for de-icing, and also the particles found in surface water...

The wastewater from the Dursban® Plant of the Dow Chemical Company Ltd. (UK), has a high salt content which typically ranges from 1% to 5%. A TOC analyzer was required that would work continuously while analysing water with a high salt concentration. After a short trial period, a BioTector 970 was permanently installed and has been in operation since April 1997. (read more)
