Incremental rotary encoders are multi-turn sensors that use optical, mechanical, or magnetic index-counting for angular measurement. They contain no absolute reference, but instead count relative to the turn-on position
Search by Specification | Learn MoreAbsolute rotary encoders use optical, mechanical, or magnetic indexing for angular measurement. They do not lose their position after power-down, but instead provide absolute position upon power-up without requiring a home cycle or any shaft rotation
Search by Specification | Learn MoreRotary position sensors include potentiometers, resolvers and a variety of magnetic and capacitive technologies. Sensors are designed for angular displacement less than one turn or for multiturn displacement
Search by Specification | Learn MoreRotary positioning stages are devices with tables or shafts that may be rotated to any angular position. They may be driven or simple slides
Search by Specification | Learn MoreDC servomotors are generally small and powerful for their size, and easy to control. Common types of DC servomotors include brushless or gear motors.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreAC servomotors are responsive, high-acceleration motors typically constructed as permanent magnet synchronous motors.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreGearmotors consist of an AC or DC motor with an integral gearbox or gear head that steps delivered speed up or down.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreHall effect proximity sensors are used to detect the proximity, presence or absence of a magnetic object using a critical distance.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreRotary indexing tables are used to index components in defined, angular increments so that they can be machined, worked, or assembled in multiple operations. Tables can have fixed or adjustable indexing angles
Search by Specification | Learn MoreTachometer generators and tachogenerators are small AC or DC generators that output a voltage in proportion to the rotational speed of a shaft. They are capable of measuring speed and direction of rotation, but not position
Search by Specification | Learn MoreIntermittent duty rotary solenoids convert axial motion into rotary stroke and are rated for on-off applications at less than 100% duty cycles. Like other types of solenoids, they convert electrical energy into mechanical power.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreElectric linear actuators have an output rod that provides linear motion via a motor driven ball screw, lead screw, or ACME screw assembly. The actuator's load is attached to the end of a screw or rod and is often unsupported.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreStepper motors use a magnetic field to move a rotor in small angular steps or fractions of steps. They provide precise positioning and ease of use, especially in low acceleration or static load applications
Search by Specification | Learn MoreElectric rotary actuators drive components rotationally via electromagnetic power. They typically have control and indexing capabilities.
Search by Specification | Learn MorePneumatic rotary actuators use pressurized air to rotate mechanical components.

The iC-MH 12-bit angular encoder is a position sensor with integrated Hall sensors for scanning a permanent magnet. The signal conditioning unit generates constant-amplitude since cosine voltages that can be used for angle calculation. The resolution can be programmed up to a maximum of 4,096 angular increments per rotation. (read more)

iC-MA supplies the absolute angular position of a magnet placed above or below the chip's package, with a set of four distributed Hall sensors granting a reasonable system assembly tolerance. Controlled signal amplitudes are ensured by the embedded signal conditioning circuit also monitoring a "loss of magnet" condition for z-axis detection.
The encoding stage operates on 6, 7 or 8 b... (read more)
The ability to interface a position encoder to a ServoWire Drive can provide vital position information to the motion control system. This approach is simple, yet effective, because information for the "encoder axis" is available to be used in the same way that information is used from any "servo axis". (read more)
RESR and SiGNUM™ Optical Angle Encoders from Renishaw. Renishaw's high accuracy angle encoders are available in a large range of diameters and line counts to provide compatibility with standard controllers.
