Rotary position sensors include potentiometers, resolvers and a variety of magnetic and capacitive technologies. Sensors are designed for angular displacement less than one turn or for multiturn displacement. Search by Specification | Learn More
Angular contact bearings are designed so that a contact angle between the races and the balls is formed when the bearing is in use. Search by Specification | Learn More
Tachometers are used to measure the velocity of a rotating object. They operate on the principle that a driven motor (i.e., a motor operated as a generator) produces a voltage that is proportional to the angular velocity of the motor shaft. Search by Specification | Learn More
Gyroscopes are designed to measure angular rate or orientation about a given directional vector. Search by Specification | Learn More
Absolute rotary encoders use optical, mechanical, or magnetic indexing for angular measurement. They do not lose their position after power-down, but instead provide absolute position upon power-up without requiring a home cycle or any shaft rotation. Search by Specification | Learn More
Inertial and gyro systems use a combination of accelerometers and angular rate sensors (gyroscopes) to detect altitude, location, and motion. They may also be capable of detecting attitude, position, velocity, temperature, or magnetic field. Search by Specification | Learn More
Incremental rotary encoders are multi-turn sensors that use optical, mechanical, or magnetic index-counting for angular measurement. They contain no absolute reference, but instead count relative to the turn-on position. Search by Specification | Learn More
ANSI), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), and Deutsch Indusrite Norm. There are four main types of super precision and spindle bearings: angular-contact ball bearings, radial ball bearings... Search by Specification | Learn More
Tachometer generators and tachogenerators are small AC or DC generators that output a voltage in proportion to the rotational speed of a shaft. They are capable of measuring speed and direction of rotation, but not position. Search by Specification | Learn More
Ball bearings are used to provide smooth, low friction motion in rotary applications. Ball bearings types include radial ball bearings (deep groove and angular contact) and thrust ball bearings. Search by Specification | Learn More
Rotary positioning stages are devices with tables or shafts that may be rotated to any angular position. They may be driven or simple slides. Search by Specification | Learn More
Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy from wind into mechanical energy. When used with an electrical generator, the rotation of the wind turbine’s blades turns a shaft to produce electricity. Learn More
Accelerometers are instruments for measuring, displaying, and analyzing acceleration and vibration. Search by Specification | Learn More
Thin-section bearings have small cross-sections with respect to their diameter. Search by Specification | Learn More
...are heavy rotating disks that have a high mass and are connected to a rotating shaft. Because they store angular momentum, flywheels offer a smooth delivery of torque, or turning power, from a motor or engine. The inertia of flywheels allows them... Learn More

iC-MA supplies the absolute angular position of a magnet placed above or below the chip's package, with a set of four distributed Hall sensors granting a reasonable system assembly tolerance. Controlled signal amplitudes are ensured by the embedded signal conditioning circuit also monitoring a "loss of magnet" condition for z-axis detection. (read more)
The iC-MH 12-bit angular encoder is a position sensor with integrated Hall sensors for scanning a permanent magnet. The signal conditioning unit generates constant-amplitude since cosine voltages that can be used for angle calculation. The resolution can be programmed up to a maximum of 4,096 angular increments per rotation. (read more)
IBG21 is a small, rugged and shock-tolerant MEMS-based gyro system. The dual-side mounting capability allows measurement of all three rotation axes on a single mounting plane. IBG21 is based on the GyroSense concept and consists of a sensor chip, a mixed-signal ASIC and a D-ASIC assembled in a non-magnetic package. (read more)
Techno-Sommer Automatic is proud to announce the newly expanded line of Miniature Angular Grippers. These new miniature grippers are excellent for assemblies and multiple pick-and-place applications, and are now available in eight different sizes beginning at a miniscule 12 mm x 10 mm x 26 mm (L x W x H). (read more)
In applications with axial loads in one direction the A-Type, angular contact ball bearing should be used. This bearing also works well in radial or combined radial-thrust applications. (read more)
PumPac® angular contact ball bearing arrangements available from MRC® Bearing Services are ideally suited for centrifugal pump applications. Their optimized internal designs promote reduced operating temperatures and vibration levels to deliver smoother operation and longer service life in demanding pump conditions. (read more)
AGI's new advancement in three jaw pneumatic angular grippers. The AGA Series Angular Gripper Actuator features four models with three jaws. The gripper jaws 180 degree opening is suited for applications which must be performed within a limited work area. The AGA series have stroke-limiting screws to adjust the stroke between 0 and 180 degree and gripping forces from 20 to 200 lbs. (read more)
SKF® New "super-precision" angular contact thrust ball bearings are designed to provide optimum performance in applications requiring high reliability and superior accuracy. They especially suit machine tool screw drives and spindles by providing safer radial and axial support and precise axial guidance of shafts. (read more)
The AGA Series Angular Gripper Actuator features four new models that have three jaws. The gripper jaws 180 degree opening is suited for applications which must be performed within a limited work area.
