The iC-ML supplies the absolute linear position of a magnetic tape placed above the chip's package, with a Hall sensor array granting a reasonable system assembly tolerance. HN series Hall Effect Sensors can sense a change in target motion from true zero to 20 KHz. The HN Series is optimized to provide extremely accurate tooth edge detection when used with larger pitch targets, and does not require orientation to the target.
