The new RENCO sub-miniature commutating encoder, model R22i, achieves both brushless motor commutation and incremental position in a very small package size of 0.866 inches in diameter by 0.59 inches long without mounting tabs. The R22i smaller package size assembles to brushless PM motors as small as 0.866 inches (22 mm) in motor outside diameter. (read more)
Incremental rotary encoders are multi-turn sensors that use optical, mechanical, or magnetic index-counting for angular measurement. They contain no absolute reference, but instead count relative to the turn-on position. Search by Specification | Learn More
Linear encoders sense and digitize linear position change for positional measurement and feedback to control systems. Search by Specification | Learn More
Absolute rotary encoders use optical, mechanical, or magnetic indexing for angular measurement. They do not lose their position after power-down, but instead provide absolute position upon power-up without requiring a home cycle or any shaft rotation. Search by Specification | Learn More
Flexible couplings connect rotating members while allowing some degree of angular or parallel misalignment. Search by Specification | Learn More
Rotary encoder disks are round or disk-shaped and have evenly-spaced holes or markings around their perimeter. Learn More
Rigid couplings connect rotating members such as shafts. They secure onto both members and provide transmission of torque and motion. Search by Specification | Learn More
Encoder and resolver signal conditioners accept encoder and resolver measurements and convert or condition these signals into digital data or suitable levels. Search by Specification | Learn More
Digital encoders convert coded information into a familiar or uncoded format. Search by Specification | Learn More
Magnetic stripe readers and magnetic stripe encoders read and encode magnetic stripe cards, credit cards, etc. Learn More
ID card readers and ID card encoders are used to transmit personal information onto various forms of storage media and retrieve this data as needed. Learn More
Inductive electrical and electronic couplings are used in the non-contact transmission of electrical power or electronic signals through stationary, rotating, or moving equipment via an inductive connection. Learn More

The characteristics of the bellows coupling can be modified by varying the number and spacing of convolutions. This type of coupling has high torsional stiffness and may be used in any drive system where high levels of torsional integrity are essential. Typical applications include encoder drives and closed loop servo systems. (read more)
Sealed linear encoders are protected from dust, chips and splash fluids and are ideal for operation on machine tools. (read more)
Dynapar announces the introduction of the NorthStar HDN and HDP series of shaft-less encoders. The new encoders feature true non-contact sensing technology that eliminates encoder shafts, bearings, and seals. As a result, the encoder is highly reliable, compact, completely sealed, and easy to integrate into existing applications. (read more)
BEI introduces the ES encoder series, a new line of environmentally sealed encoders designed specifically for harsh industrial applications. Through the use of a magnetic hub, these rugged incremental encoders are completely enclosed and sealed. The hub is installed on the equipment's mating shaft, leaving a small air gap between it and the encoder. This isolates the encoder from high... (read more)
