GOLETA, CA – (March 9, 2009) – The new R28i Modular Encoder is perfectly suited for size 11 step motor applications; providing state-of-the-art performance in a 28mm package. The innovative design is self-aligning and self-gapping, and requires no special tooling for installation. Our custom OPTO-ASIC provides resolutions up to 4096 line count. (read more)
Incremental rotary encoders are multi-turn sensors that use optical, mechanical, or magnetic index-counting for angular measurement. They contain no absolute reference, but instead count relative to the turn-on position. Search by Specification | Learn More about Incremental Rotary Encoders
Absolute rotary encoders use optical, mechanical, or magnetic indexing for angular measurement. They do not lose their position after power-down, but instead provide absolute position upon power-up without requiring a home cycle or any shaft rotation. Search by Specification | Learn More about Absolute Rotary Encoders
Rotary encoder disks are round or disk-shaped and have evenly-spaced holes or markings around their perimeter. Learn More about Rotary Encoder Disks
Linear encoders sense and digitize linear position change for positional measurement and feedback to control systems. Search by Specification | Learn More about Linear Encoders
Rotary shafts are elongated, rod-shaped devices that rotate about a longitudinal axis and transmit torque. They are similar in shape to linear shafts, but are designed to withstand torsional forces. Search by Specification | Learn More about Rotary Shafts
Linear shafts are elongated, rod-shaped devices that provide linear or rotary motion for power transmission applications. Search by Specification | Learn More about Linear Shafts
Rotary position sensors include potentiometers, resolvers and a variety of magnetic and capacitive technologies. Sensors are designed for angular displacement less than one turn or for multiturn displacement. Search by Specification | Learn More about Rotary Position Sensors
...8217;s coordinates with respect to a reference point. Linear encoders sense and digitize position changes for control systems. Linear potentiometers produce a resistance output proportional to an object’s displacement or position. Linear... Search by Specification | Learn More about Linear Position Sensors
Rotary positioning stages are devices with tables or shafts that may be rotated to any angular position. They may be driven or simple slides. Search by Specification | Learn More about Rotary Stages
Flexible shafts provide rotary power transmission along curved or adjustable axes. They are used in a wide variety of remote control, valve actuation, and power transmission applications. Search by Specification | Learn More about Flexible Shafts
Electric rotary actuators drive components rotationally via electromagnetic power. They typically have control and indexing capabilities. Search by Specification | Learn More about Electric Rotary Actuators
Rotary limit switches use physically-actuated levers to rotate a shaft and operate the contacts in a switch, making them change state. Search by Specification | Learn More about Rotary Limit Switches
Hydraulic rotary actuators use a pressurized, incompressible fluid to rotate mechanical components. Search by Specification | Learn More about Hydraulic Rotary Actuators
Pneumatic rotary actuators use pressurized air to rotate mechanical components. Search by Specification | Learn More about Pneumatic Rotary Actuators
Shaft collars attach to shafts and are used as stop features or targets for devices such as tachometers. Search by Specification | Learn More about Shaft Collars

FRABA is the only manufacturer to have an ODVA Certified EtherNet/IP absolute rotary encoder. The encoder can be either single turn, or multi-turn up to 30 bits with 16 bit resolution. Our encoder has an integrated web hub so that it can be connected directly to a PC. (read more)
Ready for anything — shock, vibration, pressures, temperature extremes, high speeds and acc/dec, even immersion — tough-guy RLS magnetic rotary encoders take on problem conditions with "fit and forget" reliability, go-anywhere versatility, and high performance at low cost. (read more)
For high resolution, high dynamic measurement of position, speed and velocity, Baumer has introduced the MHXX Series of hollow-shaft, large-bore, magnetic rotary encoders. These robust, non-contact encoders contain no bearings, so measurement is contact-free and components do not wear. (read more)
Rotary incremental optical encoders: Model R258 and R260 offer rugged use, high performance in both single and dual-shaft designs. (read more)
Extremely compact, extremely sensitive, very economical 360° absolute single turn encoder capability with a wide variety of inputs and analog outputs, plus SSI. (read more)
The model A37 mini encoder is a 12-bit single-turn absolute rotary encoder with opto-electronic technology. These encoders are used in a wide variety of position-sensing applications for the measuring of angles and distances in relatively small envelopes. Mechanical features include a 37-mm diameter aluminum housing, a 3-4 mm (0.125-0.25") diameter stainless steel shaft... (read more)
Clearwater, Florida MicroMo Electronics, Inc. announces the release of its 05A and 05AB magnetic rotary encoders. The 8 mm diameter magnetic rotary micro-encoder complements MicroMo's line of FAULHABER DC micro-motors in the 8 to 12 mm diameter range. The micro-encoder attaches to the back of the motor and adds a mere 7 mm to the length of the motor. (read more)
The A58 is the highest resolution compact encoder available for applications requiring precise measurements of distances and angles in a relatively small package. The low cost and high accuracy of this encoder make it an ideal solution for practically all applications which require absolute positioning. Mechanical features include a 58-mm diameter aluminum housing, a 3mm to 0.25" diameter stainles... (read more)
The compact design (36,5 mm diameter) of the new MAGNETOCODE (MCD) absolute encoders makes them suitable for applications with limited installation space and reduces material costs considerably. It is the only absolute magnetic rotary encoder that can measure number of turns without using external electric power. (read more)
