Linear encoders sense and digitize linear position change for positional measurement and feedback to control systems. Search by Specification | Learn More about Linear Encoders
Incremental rotary encoders are multi-turn sensors that use optical, mechanical, or magnetic index-counting for angular measurement. They contain no absolute reference, but instead count relative to the turn-on position. Search by Specification | Learn More about Incremental Rotary Encoders
Rotary encoder disks are round or disk-shaped and have evenly-spaced holes or markings around their perimeter. Learn More about Rotary Encoder Disks
...8217;s coordinates with respect to a reference point. Linear encoders sense and digitize position changes for control systems. Linear potentiometers produce a resistance output proportional to an object’s displacement or position. Linear... Search by Specification | Learn More about Linear Position Sensors
Manual pulse generators institute a command pulse when the handle is turned manually. Learn More about Manual Pulse Generators
Absolute rotary encoders use optical, mechanical, or magnetic indexing for angular measurement. They do not lose their position after power-down, but instead provide absolute position upon power-up without requiring a home cycle or any shaft Search by Specification | Learn More about Absolute Rotary Encoders
Encoder and resolver signal conditioners accept encoder and resolver measurements and convert or condition these signals into digital data or suitable levels. Search by Specification | Learn More about Encoder and Resolver Signal Conditioners
Digital encoders convert coded information into a familiar or uncoded format. Search by Specification | Learn More about Digital Encoders

Magnetic stripe readers and magnetic stripe encoders read and encode magnetic stripe cards, credit cards, etc. Learn More about Magnetic Stripe Readers and Magnetic Stripe Encoders
ID card readers and ID card encoders are used to transmit personal information onto various forms of storage media and retrieve this data as needed. Learn More about ID Card Readers and Encoders
Grinding wheels are used for metal removal, dimensioning, and finishing. They consist of an integral shank, pin, shaft, or mandrel that drives a mounted wheel or blades. Search by Specification | Learn More about Grinding Wheels
Diamond tools and wheel dressers are used to condition, true and dress grinding wheels. Dressing is the process of re-sharpening the tiny cutting edges on a grinding wheel’s surface. Search by Specification | Learn More about Diamond Tools and Wheel Dressers

Rotary encoder is the sensor, which transforms mechanical movement into electrical signal. It is widely used as a position sensor in an industrial machine, elevator, and robot.
In order to expand the usefulness of HEIDENHAIN's sturdy modular magnetic encoder line, the new ERM 2400 series is introduced. This series features more compact dimensions than the current ERM 200, already commonly used on C axes in lathes, and can be used at higher rotational speeds. This makes it useful in more applications such as in spindles for milling machines. (read more)
