Thermal cutoffs and thermal protectors are nonresetting, thermally sensitive devices designed to protect domestic electrical appliances and industrial equipment from fire. They are sometimes described as thermal one-shot fuses. Search by Specification | Learn More
AC motors include single, multiphase, universal, induction, synchronous, and gear motors. They also include servomotors. Search by Specification | Learn More
Overload relays prevent an electric motor from drawing too much current and overheating; includes thermal and solid state overload types. Search by Specification | Learn More
AC motor starters are used to turn-on and turn-off electric motors and motor-controlled equipment. They use solid-state or electromechanical technologies, and are designed for single-phase or three-phase motors. Search by Specification | Learn More
DC motor starters combine a controller (most often a contactor) with overload protection, allowing a motor or motor-controlled equipment to be turned on and off. Search by Specification | Learn More
Motor starters and contactors are motor-starting devices. They combine a contactor with overload protection and are designed for starting AC or DC motors. Search by Specification | Learn More
Motor contactors are relays with large current capacity for connecting and disconnecting a motor from the power supply. Typically, motor contractors are multi-pole for control of all current carrying conductors. Search by Specification | Learn More
Thermal compounds and thermal interface materials form a thermally conductive layer on a substrate, between components or within a finished product. Search by Specification | Learn More
Specialized or proprietary thermal management products used in cooling instruments, electronics, processes or equipment. Learn More
Thermostats and thermal switches are electro-mechanical on/off switches that are activated by temperature changes. They are typically used to control heating and cooling systems. Search by Specification | Learn More
Thermal oxidizers and catalytic oxidizers are used to destroy volatile organic compounds (VOC) in process gases. Search by Specification | Learn More
Motor controllers receive supply voltages and provide signals to motor drives that are interfaced to motors. They include a power supply, amplifier, user interface, and position control circuitry. Search by Specification | Learn More
DC motors are most commonly used in variable speed and torque applications. They include brushless and gear motors, as well as servomotors. Search by Specification | Learn More
Stepper motors use a magnetic field to move a rotor in small angular steps or fractions of steps. They provide precise positioning and ease of use, especially in low acceleration or static load applications. Search by Specification | Learn More
Calorimeters and thermal analyzers contain a heat source that can deliver a heat flux, at a distinct temperature, into a sample, and a temperature-measuring device that can read the resultant change in temperature. Search by Specification | Learn More

Cantherm's A40 series thermal cutouts have been redesigned to provide new terminals for SMT and THT for easier installation on PC boards. As always they respond rapidly to changes in the temperature of the air flowing over the device will open the contacts after reaching the preset temperature. (read more)
The Cantherm A10 open-frame thermostats respond rapidly to changes in the temperature of air flowing over the device. They are most suitable for use in electrical appliances, such as hair dryers, cooking equipment, fan heaters or industrial air heaters. They are factory calibrated bimetal switches which snap open at a predetermined temperature. Reset is preceeded by significant cooling. (read more)
The CD79F will soon be available once again from Cantherm. The CD series of protectors is designed to replace many popular models in both fit and function in applications which include motors, transformers and other types of coils and windings. It is also available as a CD70S with a PTC self-hold for special consumer appliance requirements. (read more)
Digi-Key is now stocking the complete range of Cantherm SDJ1 15A/250V thermal fuses. (read more)
Cantherm now carries stock of the complete range of RoHS Compliant SDJ1 15 amp 250V thermal cutoffs from 66°C to 240°C. The SDJ1 is designed for the thermal protection of appliances and other devices and are UL, cUL and VDE approved. (read more)
Cantherm's F11U will also be know by its new name, F20A and F20B. Both numbers will remain in use for a considerable amount of time and will appear in all agency approval files until further notice. This is to better differentiate between the two versions of the F11U and the F11K, the difference is in the height of the thermostat. (read more)

The NEW T22 is now available from Cantherm, rated at 250V-20A for 10,000 cycles. The T22 is similar in construction to the T21 and is current sensitive to provide protection for small motors suject to locked rotor situations. They operate by means of a thermally sensitive bimetalic snap-element which switches double series electrical contacts after reaching a pre-set response temperature. (read more)
