Special Optics - A Navitar Company
In-Line Beam Steerer
In-Line Beam Steerers are convenient devices that precisely change the angle or alignment of optical beams. Unlike Risley prisms, In-Line Beam Steerers move the beams in a cartesian coordinate system rather than in a polar coordinate system. With a single adjustment, the In-Line Beam Steerer deflects the beam either horizontally or vertically.

Special Optics - A Navitar Company
Risley Prisms
The Risley Prism is a high resolution beam steering device consisting of a pair of rotatable wedged elements that redirect the laser beam by refraction. The refracting angle of each wedge is typically less than 5 degrees. By rotating each wedge independently the laser beam can be steered to any position within a solid angle defined by the maximum deflection.
