Specialty electromagnetic sensors and instruments are proprietary electrical and electromagnetic sensors and instruments not explicitly listed elsewhere. There are several types of specialty electromagnetic sensors and instrument. Examples include electromagnetic instruments, electromagnetic sensors, robotic sensors, AC gauss meters, electric field meters, and RF field strength meters. An electromagnetic instrument measures a geomagnetic field along three components of the earth’s magnetic field. An electromagnetic sensor determines linear movement. A robotic sensor is used for complex environment monitoring. An AC gauss meter is used for measuring AC magnetic fields. An electric field meter is used to detect electric field pollution in the home or office. An RF field strength meter is used for measuring the RF magnetic fields in the home or office. Other types of specialty electromagnetic sensors and instruments are commonly available.

Specialty electromagnetic sensors and instruments function in a variety of ways and are designed with a myriad of specifications. An electromagnetic instrument utilizes highly sensitive induction coils. Some electromagnetic instruments incorporate a 24-bit, networked magnetotelluric system. Electromagnetic sensors detect microwave measurements up to 85 GHz as well as remote moisture detection. A robotic sensor is capable of evolving and adapting to changes in user requirements, available technology, or environmental stresses. An AC gauss meter enables switchable operation from triaxial to single axis with analog output for viewing wave forms on oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers. An AC gauss meter is used for driving chart recorders, dataloggers, and data acquisition equipment. An electric field meter can be sensitive from 1 - 19,999 V/m, with 2% accuracy from 40 Hz to 20 kHz. An RF field strength meter can measure very weak to ultra strong signals and differentiate analog from digital communications. An RF field strength meter is ideal for wireless installations, detection of covert devices, and detecting and locating undesirable signal sources such as interfering transmissions, RFI, noise, and leakage. Specialty electromagnetic sensors and instruments can be designed and manufactured to meet most industry specifications.
