About Interface Level Measurement Equipment
Interface level measurement equipment includes sensors and meters for detection and measurement of interface levels between different media, such as oil/water interfaces and liquid/solid interfaces. Some interface level measurement equipment can measure the interface between a liquid and a settled bed of solids. Other interface level measurement equipment can detect the interface between a liquid and a floating bed of solids. Yet other interface level measurement equipment can measure the interface between liquid phases of significantly different viscosities. Interface level measurement equipment is also sometimes referred to as oil water analyzers, water oil analyzers, liquid solid analyzers, or oil level measurement equipment, depending upon the application.
One type of interface level measurement equipment uses a vibrating probe extending through the wall of a tank or vessel to detect the desired interface. Changes in the oscillation of the probe indicate whether the probe is contact liquid or a bed of solids. Another type of interface level measurement equipment uses the reflection of sonar pulses, to detect liquid surface level, interface boundaries between liquids and the level of solids on the bottom of the vessel.
