Air velocity flow sensors are inserted into a duct or pipe through an access hole to measure air velocity. In other instances a capture hood is used to measure volumetric flow from a grill or exhaust diffuser. Air velocity or volume measurements can often be used with engineering handbook data or design information to reveal proper or improper performance of an airflow system.

Two types of air velocity flow sensors are the insertion probes and balometers or flow hoods. Insertion probes go directly into a duct to gauge the effectiveness of ventilation by measuring air velocity. Flow hoods and balometers measure air volume flow at the air supply or exhaust outlets.

Flow Computers, Totalizers and Indicators
Flow computers, totalizers, and rate indicators integrate the functions of flow and temperature measurement, computation, data acquisition, input / output (I/O) standardization, and closed loop control. They require external sensor inputs and may be used as local rate indicators.
Flow Meters
Flow meters (flowmeters) and flow sensors are devices used for measuring the flow rate or quantity of a moving fluid or gas.
Open Channel Flow Sensors
Open channel flow sensors measure fluid flow through open channels.
Sight Flow Indicators
Sight flow indicators provide a quick, reliable and economical way to verify the flow of fluids through industrial process lines.
Sight Windows
Sight windows are an effective and economical way of viewing tank, pressure vessel and piping systems interiors. They are also referred to as sight glasses.
Solids Flow Meters
Solids flow meters measure the flow rate of bulk solids, powders, grain, etc.
