Device Type

Think of products as belonging to general categories based on what they are designed to do and how they will be used. The 'category' criteria attempts to distinguish 'unpacked' sensors that might be used as part of a larger sensor from, say, a gauge which can be read just by looking at it.
   Your choices are...

   Angular Accelerometer

A device that measures the rotational or angular acceleration of a rotating body.

   Linear Accelerometer

Accelerometers are sensors and instruments for measuring, displaying and analyzing acceleration and vibration. They can be used on a stand-alone basis, or in conjunction with a data acquisition system.

   Sensor / Transducer

Devices are either a raw sensor or more complex transducer. Transducers can communicate either by voltage or current loop.

   Gauge / Indicator

Gauges are devices have a display, but no electronic output.

   Instrument / Meter / Analyzer

Instruments, meters, and analyzers are devices that are (usually) self-contained units that provide an output (typically a display) locally, at or near the device. Typically, these devices also include signal processing or conditioning.

   Recorder / Totalizer

Devices record measured values or accumulate totals.

   Switch

Switch devices either make or break contact when a certain activation or vibration level is achieved.

   Transmitter

Transmitters are more complex, include packaging and/or powered signal conditioning, and produce an output such as DC voltage, 4-20mA, etc.

   Other

     Other unspecified or proprietary devices.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Specifications

   Acceleration

Instruments that do not have integrated or associated sensors do not have a rated acceleration value. Searching by acceleration yields possible matches for those items. Enter the maximum acceleration to measure. One 'g' is the gravity on earth: 32.2 ft/sec2 or 9.8m/s2.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Angular Acceleration

This is the input range is for angular accelerometers only. These devices measure the angular rate of change per second squared in a rotating body. The typical unit of measure is radians / sec^2.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Linear Velocity

The maximum range within which devices can operate.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Frequency Range

The frequency range of interest. Enter "0" for DC response.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the limits in a "From - To" range; when both are specified, matching products will cover entire range. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Proximity / Displacement Range

Proximity or range is the measurement range of the sensor in the linear region, i.e., where the output varies consistently with the measured distance or displacement.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Minimum Accuracy

     The minimum acceptable accuracy.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value less than or equal to the specified value.
   Number of Channels

The number of inputs accepted by the instrument or meter.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value greater than or equal to the specified value.
   Activation Level

The level at which switches activate.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value greater than or equal to the specified value.
Number of Axes

   Your choices are...

   Single Axis

Devices are capable of measurement in only one axis.

   Biaxial

Devices are capable of measurement along two, usually orthogonal, axes.

   Triaxial

Devices are capable of measurement along three, usually orthogonal, axes presented as X, Y, and Z.

Search Logic:      Products with the selected attribute will be returned as matches. Leaving or selecting "No Preference" will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Form Factor

   Your choices are...

   Handheld

Devices are designed to be operated while held in one hand.

   Modular

Devices have different modules for interfacing to different sensors or input ranges.

   Portable

Devices have handles, cases, wheels, etc. for portability, but are not necessarily held in the hand during use.

   Stand Alone

Devices perform all data processing internally.

   Other

Other unlisted or proprietary instrument types.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Features

   Your choices are...

   Battery Powered

Batteries supply the main power for the device operation. This is not for backup supply.

   Corrosion Resistant

Corrosion-resistant alloys can be formulated for a wide range of aggressive well bore conditions. However, cost generally determines the viability of any particular completion design. Alloys with high chrome content are commonly used for tubing strings.

   Event Triggered

Device can be set to capture / log data when an event happens.

   Explosion Proof

   Filters

Devices are equipped with special signal processing or filtering (Butterworth, Bessel, etc).

   Intrinsically Safe

Intrinsically safe (IS) is an adjective for equipment and wiring which is incapable of releasing sufficient electrical or thermal energy under normal or abnormal conditions to cause ignition of a specific hazardous atmospheric mixture in its most ignited concentration. The IS terminations and wiring may be brought into any hazardous location of any group classification for which it is accepted without requiring explosion proof housing or other means of protection.

   ICP®

Integrated circuit piezoelectric (ICP) accelerometers have a Piezo device inside that isolates it from the outside environment.

   Radiation Hardened

Radiation-hardened devices are constructed of materials designed to withstand high-energy gamma radiation. Ratings are expressed in units such as permissible rads in total accumulated dose (TAD).

   Sealed

Sealed units provide constant operating conditions.

Self Test / Diagnostics / Self Calibrating

The instrument has self-test or diagnostics ability.

   Self Generating

The device requires no external power supply for operation.

   Other

     Other unlisted or proprietary features.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
