   Receiver:
   Your choices are...

   CCD

The CCD consists of several individual elements that have the capability of collecting, storing and transporting electrical charge from one element to another.

   PSD

The receiver is a photodiode that is a position sensitive detector.

   Diode Array

A group of individual photo sensing diodes arranged to receive reflected laser light from an object.

   Other

     Any other receiver not listed.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Electrical Output

Electrical Output      The type of electrical signal that will be produced.
   Your choices are...

   Analog Current (4-20mA, etc)

Often called a transmitter. A current is imposed on the output circuit proportional to the measurement. Feedback is used to provide the appropriate current regardless of line noise, impedance, etc. Useful when sending signals long distances.

   Analog Voltage

Output voltage is a simple (usually linear) function of the measurement.

   Analog or Modulated Frequency

The output signal is encoded via amplitude modulation (AM), frequency modulation (FM), or some other modulation scheme, but the signal is still analog in nature.

   Serial

A standard digital output protocol (serial) such as RS232, RS485, RS422, etc.

   Parallel

A standard digital output protocol (parallel) such as GPIB / HPIB / IEEE488.

   Other Digital (TTL, etc)

Any digital output other than the standard serial or parallel signals. Simple TTL logic signals are an example.

   Switch / Alarm

An "output" of a change in state of switches or alarms.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Beam Types

   Beam types:
   Your choices are...

   Point

Measurement is made by reflection of single-point beam.

   Line

Several point sources are used in a line for simultaneous measurement; used in line "scanning."

   Area

Several sources and sensors combine to measure two-dimensional area.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Beam Type

   Visible Beam?

Measurement beam is in the visible spectrum.

Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Sampling Rate

   Sampling Rate:

Frequency of measurement sampling for measurements varying with time.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Laser Safety Class

   Laser Safety Class
   Your choices are...

   Class I

Exempt lasers or laser systems that cannot, under normal operation conditions, produce a hazard (ANSI).

   Class II

Low power visible lasers or laser systems, which, because of normal human aversion responses, do not normally present a hazard, but may present some potential for hazard if viewed directly for extended periods of time (ANSI).

   Class III

Class IIIa - Lasers or laser systems that normally would not produce a hazard if viewed for only momentary periods with the unaided eye. They may present a hazard if viewed using collecting optics (ANSI).

Class IIIb - Lasers or laser systems that can produce a hazard if viewed directly. This includes intrabeam viewing or specular reflections. Except for the high power class 3b lasers, this class laser will not produce a hazardous diffuse reflection (ANSI).

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Category of Device

Category of Device      The 'Category' criteria attempts to distinguish sensor elements that might be used as part of a larger sensor from integrated sensor-gauges and instruments.
   Your choices are...

   Sensor Element / Chip

Denotes a raw device such as a thermocouple, or one with no packaging.

   Sensor / Transducer

A more complex device with packaging and/or signal conditioning that is powered and provides an output such as dc volts, 4-20mA, etc.

   Gauge / Indicator

A device that has an analog or digital display and no electronic output, such as a digital distance readout.

   Instrument / Meter

A self-contained unit that provides an output (typically a display) locally at or near the device. Usually also includes signal processing/conditioning.

   Recorder / Totalizer

A device that records several data points or totalizes measurement in some fashion and which may include sophisticated functions such as statistical analysis.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Environment

   Operating Temperature:

This is the full required range of ambient operating temperature.
