Instrumented Sensor Technology (IST) is a leading developer and manufacturer of portable data recording systems for dynamic field measurements. All of the company's data recorder products are solid state, battery-powered and field rugged for remote, unattended, stand alone measurements. The company offers a line of products ranging from 1 channel to 9 channels, with networking capability for expanded aggregate channel counts. Several of the company's instruments are designed for "turn-key" use with accelerometers and other types of dynamic environment-type mechanical sensors. The data recorder products are completely user-configurable, enabling custom user selection of sample rates, record lengths, triggering criteria, memory utilization criteria, event overwriting techniques, etc. All IST recorder products are engineered for extremely low power consumption while operating at relatively high sample rates, enabling extended time operation under battery power.
In addition to data recorder hardware products, IST offers an extensive array of user-interface software for recorder setup, data download, and analysis from a desktop PC environment. A variety of time-domain, frequency-domain and statistical data reduction and analysis tools are available, enabling a smooth, "turn-key" solution to a wide variety of field measurement problems. |

Special analysis modules are available in the company's DynaMax-Suite software package for power spectral density (PSD) analysis, shock response spectrum (SRS) analysis, waveform integration and differentiation, sample probability density function calculation, transmissibility calculations, package drop height measurement, package e-factor profiling, and more!
All IST instrumentation products are calibrated traceable to NIST. Several of their recorders are "flight qualified" for radiated emissions, per MIL-STD-461D and Boeing Document D6-56612., as well as certified intrinsically safe for use in explosive environments. All recorders are packaged in rugged aluminum housings for use in harsh environments, and engineered for high shock and vibration survivability while fully operable over military temperature ranges.

- Transport monitor of choice by Thiokol Corporation for transportation of U.S. Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Motors from Thiokol, UT to KCS, FL. Nine-year performance track record.
- IST recorders mandated by U.S. Auto Club in 1993 as the crash recorder for the INDY racecar. Since that time all INDY cars have been equipped with IST recorders for crash acceleration data recording.
- Since the early 1990s IST recorders have substantially replaced all telemetry instrumentation previously used at Fort Bragg, NC for testing of rapid deployment parachute systems used for military cargo air drops. IST recorders in use there measure parachute load forces, ground impact forces, and air drop descent rates, all using onboard recording.
- IST recorders are widely considered the recorder of choice for industrial package shipment monitoring by packaging engineers and researchers at manufacturing firms and Universities in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
