The FR73B BASIC inline type low flow switch provides a very precise linear output signal for extremely low gas and liquid flows in either direction. With detection capability from 1 to 1000 cc/min in gas and 0.01 to 2 cc/min in liquids, this instrument is an ideal switching device for test and measurement applications such as gas chromatography and fluid sampling systems. This instrument produces a millivolt output signal that is positively correlated with the flow rate. The signal is suitable for computer input and can be read using FCI's Model FM71D Monitor/Calibrator or customer supplied voltmeter. The FR73B BASIC responds in as little as 1 second depending upon the type of media and flow velocity. With 0.125 inch 316 stainless steel tubing and an inlet to outlet volume less than 0.8 cc, the unit is quickly and easily purged to prevent sample contamination in test applications.
